A number of former Bears are Hall of Fame Class of 2024 modern-era nominees

CANTON, OH — One former member of the Bears already knows he'll be up for election to the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2024. Now a collection of players that used to play in Chicago are just starting their process for enshrinement next August, with a few joining the list for the first time.The Hall of Fame announced the list of 173 modern-era nominees for the Class of 2024 on Tuesday morning. This comes a little under a month since former defensive tackle Steve McMichael was named a Seniors Committee finalist and will be up for a vote to get in Super Bowl week. Man accused of killing 18 elderly women is slain in Texas prison by cellmate: official

DALLAS (AP) — A man accused of killing nearly two dozen older women and who was convicted last year in the slayings of two was killed Tuesday morning by his cellmate at a Texas prison, an official said.Billy Chemirmir, 50, was found dead in his cell, said Texas Department of Criminal Justice spokeswoman Hannah Haney. She said that Chemirmir's cellmate, who is serving a sentence for murder, was identified as the assailant, but said she couldn't release the cellmate's identity or how Chemirmir was killed.The first capital murder trial of Chemirmir for the slaying of Lu Thi Harris, 81, ended in mistrial in Dallas County. He was later convicted in a second trial for Harris’ death and convicted of a second killing in the death of Mary Brooks, 87.Authorities said Chemirmir preyed on older women, killing them and stealing their valuables. Cyberattack could squeeze supply of Clorox wipes

(WXIN) – You may have a harder time getting Clorox wipes — and it has nothing to do with COVID-19.The Clorox Company disclosed this week in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that a cyberattack has disrupted its business operations.The August cybersecurity incident targeted the company’s information technology systems. Clorox took “immediate steps” to stop it and brought some of its systems offline. Ground beef recalled due to possible E. coli contamination As a result, the company instituted a manual ordering and processing procedure at a “reduced rate of operations.” It’s started to affect the supply of products, including disinfecting wipes, available to customers.“The Company is operating at a lower rate of order processing and has recently begun to experience an elevated level of consumer product availability issues,” according to the SEC filing.Clorox believes any unauthorized activity has been contained and is investigating the incident.
