DENVER (KDVR) -- The Boulder Police Department held a press conference Monday to address an officer-involved shooting that occurred Sunday, Dec. 17.The shooting took place near the North Boulder Recreation Center, 3170 Broadway St.Boulder Police Department Deputy Chief Ron Gosage and 20th Judicial District Attorney Michael Dougherty spoke about the shooting and the events leading up to it.According to police, two officers fired at a woman who had been trespassed from the recreation center about an hour before the encounter with police. Drivers on a busy South Florida highway are getting ready to make a shift as commuting may become easier and faster than ever beforeStarting Thursday, Dec. 21, there will be a new traffic pattern on westbound I-395. Drivers heading north on I-95 will now exit to the right. Two teenagers are in stable condition after, police said, they came under fire in Southwest Miami-Dade.The teens, ages 14 and 15, were airlifted to hospital on Saturday after a shooting took place at Southwest 211th Street and 120th Avenue in the Goulds section.Investigators said the victims were walking when a car pulled up beside them and someone inside opened fire. “When our officers arrived, they located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds,” said Miami-Dade Police Detective Andre Martin. “Those two victims were transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to HCA Kendall Trauma Center where they are being treated for their wounds.”The teens were shot in what was described as drive-by shooting.“The motive for this shooting incident is unknown. A person has been detained after an alleged kidnapping incident near Fort Lauderdale.Police responded to the area of 900 block of NW 34th Avenue in Lauderhill just before 3 p.m. on Monday afternoon where a person was barricaded inside a home.Officials said the people involved made their way into the residence. It is unclear what led up to the incident. Police said they say they have the alleged suspect in custody. Another person was also seen in handcuffs but put in an ambulance. SWAT has cleared the scene after going through the home. Police said everyone has been accounted for and everyone is safe. This is a developing story. Cleanup efforts were underway in Salem, New Hampshire Monday after witnesses said wind ripped the roof of a local car wash. The damage happened at Haffner’s Car Wash shortly after 11 a.m. off Route 28 near the peak of stormy conditions amid a day of wild weather across southern New England.“Just like a sardine can, it just peeled right back,” said Josh Houde, who works next to the damaged car wash.
